Penentuan Status Trofik Melalui Beberapa Pendekatan (Studi Kasus: Waduk Cirata)
Abstract
ABSTRACT
Cirata Reservoir is a cascade reservoir in West Java that is used for floating cage fish farming. High organic
content originated from the residue of the feed causes eutrophication of reservoir waters. The purpose of this
study was to assess the trophic status of the Cirata Reservoir through several trophic states index. The results
shows that the presence of the phytoplankton community, in response to water quality, was dominated by groups
tolerant to high nutrient concentration. The highest value is found in locations with dense of floating cage activity,
that increases with increasing water depth. All approaches used indicate that the Cirata Reservoir is classified as
eutrophic to hyper-eutrophic.
